Easter Egg Coloring with the Cooks

The Cook kids came over this morning for pancakes and sausage. After breakfast it was on to Easter preparations! We started by coloring Easter Eggs. They were VERY excited as they had never colored eggs before!! Peter thought the vinegar smelled very yucky. He plugged his nose a lot!

This was taken right after instructions. Okay here we go!

I had never tried using brown eggs. I read online that it would work the same and it did. I actually liked it better! The colors came out great! They were a deeper color.

Peter liked the orange color best.

Marcus did this cross egg with a crayon. It turned out really well!

All finished! It was sad when we got to the last egg.

Happy Baptismal Birthday, Eldon!

Today is the day when we celebrate the day God marked You, Eldon Daniel Cook, as His child.

I was baptized happy day!
All my sins were washed away.
God looked down on me and smiled.
I became His own dear child.

Happy Baptismal Birthday to my dear Godson!

Love you lots!

Easter Joy!

Easter celebration at my parent's house.

Lauren collecting eggs hidden on her mommy's car.

Abby and Jacob Kyler joined in the fun!

Jacob announced at lunch he wanted to come every year to Carol's house.

How many did you find?!?!

Jacob was wearing Stefan's vest to keep warm. He looked like a black marshmallow! So cute!

They Kyler Family

Rachel, Jay and Lauren (Jackson was in the warm house.)

The highlight of the afternoon was teaching Lauren how to play softball.

Her cousin, Stefan, pitched.

Uncle David giving Lauren a pep talk.

Stephen giving Lauren advice on holding the bat. Lauren's Daddy is in the outfield!

You can't have a Schneider Party without playing cards with Papaw Nippy.

Thank you, God, for blessing us with a great family. Of course there would be nothing to celebrate if it weren't for Jesus! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed! Alleluia!

Christmastime Play Date

My two little Christmas elves. Two of my favorite little people having a play date with Auntie.

Now, let us take a moment to recognize what it took to get this picture. :)

Please keep your hat on, Eldie.

Lauren, put your hands down and show me a regular smile.

Look at the camera.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Yes, that is very cute and funny.

Lauren, your hat is the same size as Eldon's. He just has a smaller head.

Not Quite....Eldie looks a little like Elvis.

Almost. Got. It.

Score! YES! YES! YES! That will work!

Yes, now you may have a cookie. (Cookie bribery helped us get this done! LOL)

Celebrating the cookie!

Thank you, Lord, for special people.

I love you, Eldie and Lauren!
